Celebrate Spring in Brooklyn! A FREE performance featuring NYWC young writers, April 9th and 10th

Brooklyn Celebrates Spring, April 9th and April 10Eight talented young writers from NYWC’s workshops at the Brooklyn Public Library, Bay Ridge and the Fort Greene Park Summer workshops will join the amazing teen dancers from Creative Outlet for two nights of dance and spoken word at Brooklyn Celebrates Spring, sponsored by A.R.T./ New York. Friday night’s performance will feature readers from the Ridge Kids and Ridge Girls groups, ages 9-13. Saturday,  Fort Greene favorites from the Summer Youth Creative Writing workshops and Literary Festival, ages 12-14, will take the stage. The performances will begin at 6:30 each night, and they are FREE.  No reservations are necessary, but seating is limited, so come early for a seat. The program will be fun for poetry and dance lovers of all ages, so bring the kids and come on down to the beautiful Great Room at South Oxford Space, 138 South Oxford Place, Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
