New places to write with NYWC!

NY Writers Coalition has gotten involved with the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort by way of what we do best: writing workshops. In response to the storm, we decided to provide a space for people to find community and write in a supportive environment. So, we’ve started two new free, drop-in workshops:

  • Tuesdays at 5:15-7:30 p.m. at Carroll Gardens Library (396 Clinton Street) Directions here.
  • Thursdays at 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the 80 Arts Building (80 Hanson Place) Directions here.

These writing groups will begin next week and are open to anyone, writers of all genres — poetry, fiction, memoir, whatever you want to write! All levels of experience are welcome and no advance sign-up is necessary. See you next week!

We’ve got more groups in the works, remember to check back often for updates on our free workshop locations. You can also stay in loop by following us on Facebook and Twitter.
