Lyrics to Go with Angel Nafis

Sundays /  11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.   /  UrbanGlass, 647 Fulton St, Brooklyn  /   Beginning October 12

Do you love storytelling? Do you write folktales, plays, poems, fiction? Do you want a community of engaged and imaginative folks to create and re-work writing with? Facilitated by Brooklyn-based writer Angel Nafis, Lyrics to Go uses writing prompts inspired by the work of A Tribe Called Quest, Charlie Chaplin, Audre Lorde, Lucille Clifton and others to explore themes of journey, identity, and real-life magic.

In this weekly writing group, participants will generate new writing and polish existing work, plus receive feedback on works-in-progress. This workshop will culminate in a small ZINE publication of participants’ work and salon-style reading. All experience levels welcome!
