WO-(MAN) part 1

Karla D. Baker

Woe is he for she use to make his heart sing,
Dreams of her in the mid-night hour,
Full of hope and power,
To love her unconditionally,
Oh, how he use to love she,

Sweeping he off his manly feet,
Into the arms of her space to keep,
Befriending never wanting it to end,
And she creeps away into the mist of air with another him,
"Farewell my dear"… as she struts into another him's arms,
He bluntly being smacked in his face,
As him entertains the space between her legs,
Engaging in poetry with him,
Huh, makes he want to spit venom in her face,
As he tries to relinquish the thoughts of her,
But can't…
She use to be his love, his gem,
Shining with a glow of sun,
He thought that he was the only…
The only one who could make her heart dance?
It is by chance that she was caught off her guard,
Entertaining in her backyard with him,
Sleeping in the willow of him's stream,
Oh, how he dreamt for it to not be true,
Blood shot red eyes made he realize,
How much she thought of he,

Between their sheets she lies with him,
Intertwine, as she rode him, springing her back to please,
Forward and back, back and forth,
Staying on course as him closed his eyes, wetting his lips, being captivated by her lovemaking,
Never conceiving, but believing the thought of fornication, he does,
Realizing what lies in the canal of (their) pussy willow,
Upon his pillow lies a stranger's head,
Within (their) bed disrespect, neglect, and abandonment is fed,
Resenting the thought of the love that was embedded in his heart,
Catching a spark that has been drenched with specks of rain,
Draining his brain to contemplate,
What's next…where did the mistakes begin?
Trust dwindled…love escapes…loss befriend.
Upon his distraught face sketches of what was, is, and will not be,
Setting he free as he rubs his hands to end,
Walking in a state of distress,
Upon his heart reads, "damage", temporarily,
Preoccupying his mind with books of self indulgence,
Loving he,
As he love another,
Time is essence,
And he is the essence of love-
Filling his soul with life's experience.
