Black Writers Program Drop-In Workshops

We're excited to launch our latest Black Writers Program drop-in workshops!

Mondays and Saturdays from Monday, September 12 – Saturday, November 19, 2022.

NYWC’s drop-in workshops are generative writing opportunities for people who may not be able to commit to a longer-term experience. Sign-ups open on a weekly basis and do not require attendance every week. These workshops will run in for 10-week cycles and are free to attend; workshops are capped at 12 participants.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants may attend an unlimited number of BWP drop-in workshops—however, we ask that you only register for workshops you can attend and cancel if you are no longer able to. Taking workshop spaces by “saving a spot" for yourself prevents people who can actually commit from being able to sign up. Repeated unannounced no-shows may be barred from drop-in workshops in the future.

Sign-ups are live now.

Each week after that, the Zoom registration link will become available on Thursdays at 12 p.m. ET; an email will also go out each week with the sign-up links provided. Be sure to subscribe to the Black Writers Program email list to receive a notification when sign-ups are live!
