Common Unity: An Anthology

Join NY Writers Coalition for the launch party and reading for Common Unity, 
a collection of original works created in virtual writing workshops born out of the COVID-19 pandemic. These workshops launched at the start of the lockdown, and were a vital lifeline for writers from all over the world to create new work, ease intense isolation, and process the unfolding emergency. Through prose and poetry, Common Unity bears witness to an era that changed all of us. 
 
This reading will be hosted by NYWC Founder & Executive Director Aaron Zimmerman. Wine and soft drinks will be served.
 
About Common Unity

Common Unity, an anthology of writing created in virtual writing workshops born out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Common Unity is a document of witness, written in real-time during a global crisis, by people of all backgrounds and levels of writing experience. This collection is imaginative, powerful, persuasive, beautiful, haunting, nostalgic, thought-provoking, and nearly every other adjective imaginable concerning the human experience.

As one of the largest community-based writing organizations in the country, NY Writers Coalition strives to provide free, unique, and powerful creative writing workshops to primarily under-served communities in New York City and, since 2020, virtually. Common Unity is a testament to the power, resilience, and creativity of the NY Writers Coalition community.
