NYWC Virtual Mic Check

Mic Check is an opportunity for our workshop attendees and leaders to share writing they’ve created in our virtual workshops with the wider NY Writers Coalition community—and the public!

In light of the pandemic, NYWC deployed our corps of writers & activists—our workshop leaders—to provide virtual creative writing workshops to our community. These workshops have since expanded to our outreach programs and specialty workshops. Mic Check, hosted by acclaimed poet Jon Sands, is one of the outgrowths of our newfound virtual community.
